We resume an old rivalry when we return to Elland Road for an away fixture against Leeds United for the first time in nine years. Can you remember the Chelsea starting line-up in that 2012 League Cup win?
Despite being arguably our biggest rivals during the successes of the Sixties and Seventies, and far from popular opponents ever since, fixtures against Leeds have been few and far between in more recent years. Our 3-1 win over them at Stamford Bridge earlier this season was our first league match against the Whites since 2004. However, the rivalry has occasionaly been continued in cup competitions, although the most recent meeting was when we travelled to Elland Road in the fifth round of the 2012/13 League Cup.
With Rafa Benitez having only been in the Blues dugout for a month and with the game coming just a couple of days after we had returned from Japan after competing in the FIFA Club World Cup, our line-up that day had an experimental feel to it, as we came back from 1-0 down at half-time to win 5-1. See if you can remember who the 11 players who started that game for Chelsea were. Good luck!
