Chelsea’s FA Cup semi-final clash with Manchester City will take place at 5.30pm on Saturday 17 April.

The Blues take on Pep Guardiola’s side at Wembley after defeating Sheffield United 2-0 in the quarter-finals last week. The game will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

The other semi-final sees Leicester meet Southampton, with that game also to be contested at Wembley.

We have met Manchester City in the semi-finals of the FA Cup once before, in 2013 when despite Demba Ba pulling a goal back at Wembley, we lost 2-1.The next season, a 2-0 City win at their stadium knocked the Blues out at the fifth-round stage, but since then there was a big Chelsea victory, 5-1 at Stamford Bridge in 2016, also in Round Five with goals from Diego Costa, Willian, Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard and Bertrand Traore.

Back in 1971, Chelsea as FA Cup holders were knocked out by Man City in the fourth round, as we were in 1948, but there was a success for the Londoners in our first cup meeting, in 1915 in Round Three on our way to our first FA Cup final.
