Chelsea linked with Rabiot

The Blues are reportedly interested in signing Adrien Rabiot from Juventus.

In his column for TuttoMercatoWeb, journalist Niccolo Ceccarini claimed that Chelsea are keeping an eye on the 26-year-old midfielder.

Ceccarini stated that Juventus need to carry out ‘some important sales’ of their players to raise funds to strengthen their team in the summer.

The Frenchman has appeared 36 times in all competitions for the Italian giants this season and has scored three goals and picked up two assists.

During the international break, Rabiot also expressed how he enjoyed playing with Blues midfielder N’Golo Kante.

‘He works a lot and never stops,’ Rabiot told reporters. ‘It’s easy to be next to him on the pitch.

‘I feel good in the middle. I know I can move to the left, but it depends on our opponents and the type of game.’

Souness backs Blues to make semi-finals

Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness has backed Chelsea to make the Champions League semi-finals.

Speaking to The Times, the Liverpool legend believes the Blues will be too strong for Porto when we face them this week.

‘As it stands, I see all three English clubs in the semi-finals, which would mean at least one finalist,’ he said.

‘We’ve seen a disappointing Atletico Madrid that Chelsea rolled over quite easily and Barcelona were well beaten by Paris Saint-Germain.’

The Blues face the Portuguese giants on Wednesday and will look to bounce back from the defeat against West Brom on Saturday.

‘Chelsea have had their tails up since Thomas Tuchel took charge and I expect them to continue that against Porto,’ Souness added.

‘They are defending well and dominating possession.’

Di Santo reflects on his time at Stamford Bridge

Former Blues striker Franco Di Santo has opened up on what it was like sharing a dressing room with Chelsea stars like John Terry and Frank Lampard.

Speaking to goal.com, Di Santo revealed how welcoming the whole squad was when he arrived at Stamford Bridge as an 18-year-old.

‘I was comfortable at Stamford Bridge,’ he said. ‘I felt happy and they made me feel important and like I was one of them.

‘They were humble and helped me in every single way. It helped me catch up with them. There were so many good players there. Every single one of them was amazing.’

With a dressing room of stars, Di Santo believes Didier Drogba was one of the players he looked up to during his time at Chelsea.

‘I felt most impressed by Drogba,’ he continued. ‘With how he was both on and off the pitch.

‘He was one of the greatest examples I followed to be a better player but also a great person outside of the pitch. He was an example for all the young players.’
