The Chelsea Foundation and Nike Sports Camps are once again coming together to offer an exciting football and English language summer camps experience for UK and international students aged nine to 17 years old.
Taking place at the prestigious Charterhouse School in Surrey, young players will enjoy high-quality coaching and gain access to experts from the Chelsea FC Foundation in workshops and talks, as well as a weekly training session at our Cobham training ground and an exciting tour of Stamford Bridge.
The camps will also provide welfare and accommodation for participating students and as the home of football and the English language, the UK is a perfect destination for learning English, providing an inspiring place for young people to improve their football skills.
Nike Sports camps have been operating in the UK for several years and expanded their residential camps to include Nike Football Camps with the Foundation back in 2018, where Chelsea players Fran Kirby and Ruben Loftus-Cheek helped launch the exciting new venture.
James Phillips, senior officer of football projects, said: ‘The Foundation is excited to be back operating for 2021 in association with CMT Learning operating the Nike Football Camps.
‘These camps offer high-quality coaching to foreign and UK students at exclusive venues in and around London, offering them an insight into the life of a professional player at Chelsea FC.
‘The coaching sessions will be delivered following a bespoke syllabus challenging the players technically, tactically, socially and psychologically, as well as affording them workshops and seminars delivered by club staff based on topics such as match analysis and scouting.’
Steve Jones, CMT Learning, added: ‘We are delighted to be delivering our Nike Football Camps with Chelsea FC Foundation again in 2021.
‘After a difficult year, we all appreciate the importance of our children getting outdoors, meeting new friends and learning new skills.
‘Together with Chelsea FC Foundation, we have created a programme that gives children the chance to experience life like a young professional on our residential camps at the outstanding Charterhouse School in Surrey.
‘Alongside the coaching sessions, players will learn about match analysis, nutrition and mental health and wellbeing in specialist workshops and will finish the week with a training session at Chelsea’s training centre in Cobham.
‘All our staff are really looking forward to welcoming young players back this summer to experience our fantastic football camps.’
