Bridge wants Chelsea to sign Kane

Wayne Bridge would love for Chelsea to sign Harry Kane in the summer.

Speaking to bettingexpert.com, which was repeated in the Daily Mail, the former Chelsea left-back thinks the Blues should pounce for the Tottenham star.

‘I’d love to see Kane go there, I think he’s brilliant,’ he said. ‘If you look at how Tottenham are doing at the moment, I think there’s a great chance he could end up leaving if he wants to go and win something.’

There have also been reports that the England captain wants to leave the north London club in the summer and there will be many teams lining up for the striker including both Manchester clubs.

Kane has netted 29 times and provided 16 assists and is on course to have his best season yet.

‘Chelsea have to be careful with who they buy but I’ll be surprised if they didn’t bring another striker in,’ Bridge added.

‘I’m not sure if he would go, but I’d love to see him come in and start banging goals for Chelsea.’

Hargreaves praises Pulisic

Owen Hargreaves was left very impressed with Christian Pulisic’s performance on the weekend against Crystal Palace.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, the former Manchester United midfielder believes the American makes the Blues better.

‘Maybe he wasn’t playing or training his best but today he played like a top player,’ Hargreaves said after the Palace game.

‘Football is always what have you done for me lately, especially when the new manager comes in and you’ve got to do the work.’

Pulisic has returned to the starting line-up and has been getting important goals for the side. He has started three Premier League games in a row for Thomas Tuchel and scored three goals.

‘I think he’s the type of player that in attacking areas he can make the difference,’ he continued. ‘I think he just makes Chelsea a better team when he plays.

‘For Pulisic now, it’ll be hard to get him out the team.’

Watkins hails hardworking Mount

Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has revealed Mason Mount was the player that impressed him the most during his first England call-up.

Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube show FIVE, the former Brentford man discussed his experience training with the Chelsea midfielder when they were away with England.

‘Mount was consistent,’ he said. ‘He was always top in training and never really gives the ball away and he makes everything look easy.’

Mount played all three international games with England as Gareth Southgate openly admitted how important the midfielder is for his country.

During the international break, Mount continued to show the class he’s had on display throughout this season.

The Chelsea Academy graduate created eight chances in 45 minutes, the last player to do that in a UEFA qualifying match was Xavi, who created nine in 90 minutes.

Mount topped off his good week with a goal in a 2-0 win over Albania.
