Chelsea eyeing Calhanoglu

Chelsea are reportedly keeping an eye on Hakan Calhanoglu’s situation at AC Milan.

According to Il Milanista, the Blues want to bring the Turkish international to Stamford Bridge when he becomes a free agent in the summer.

The attacking midfielder is reportedly running his contract down with the Italian giants while he waits for an offer that could be attractive to him.

For the Turkish international to be signed, Chelsea need to offer better terms than Milan. Arsenal are also rumoured to be interested in the player.

If the Blues were to sign Calhanoglu, he will add further depth to the creative talent already at the club.

The 27-year-old has appeared 37 times in all competitions for Milan this season, scoring eight goals and providing 11 assists.

Sarri tipped for Premier League return

Former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has been linked with a return to the Premier League.

According to the Daily Mail, the Italian is tipped to become the new Tottenham boss after the club reportedly made contact.

Sarri is still under contract with Juventus until 2022, but the Italian club can terminate his deal one year early by paying a fee by the end of April.

The report also states that the 62-year-old is eager to return to coaching after a year off. The manager was sacked by Juventus last August after his side crashed out of the Champions League to Lyon.

Sarri is listed as the second favourite to succeed Jose Mourinho, while 29-year-old Ryan Mason holds the position as interim coach.

Real Madrid to miss key players for Champions League clash

Real Madrid are set to miss key players when they face Chelsea in our Champions League semi-final fixture on Tuesday night.

According to goal.com, Madrid have confirmed that midfielder Federico Valverde will miss the first-leg against the Blues.

The midfielder was in self-isolation due to being in contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19, and now the Uruguayan has tested positive.

Valverde has been a key player for Madrid this season. He has appeared 20 times in La Liga and has made six Champions League appearances.

The 22-year-old will not be the only missing player for the Spanish giants as captain Sergio Ramos is still sidelined with a muscle injury. Midfielder Toni Kroos and winger Lucas Vasquez are also still not fully fit.

The Blues will be looking to overcome Madrid to reach our first Champions League final since 2012.
