George Nunn’s second-half goal was enough to earn a win over rivals Blackburn, whom we also played in the previous game as well as today. The win last week gave us an advantage over Tottenham and Blackburn in the battle to finish in the highest possible place.

Final day thoughts

It has been a campaign like no other and after clinching the league title last term, the Blues have again shown talent, versatility and resilience to compete at the top end. There have been sticky periods without wins but one defeat in our last nine games has made for a strong finish to the season.
