In our look at the latest Chelsea-related news stories from the media, the Blues are reportedly interested in making a move for Jadon Sancho while Brendan Rodgers labels Mason Mount as a top player.

Blues linked with Sancho

Chelsea are reportedly getting ready to launch an offer for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

According to The Sun, the England international is set to leave the German giants this summer, with the Blues being one of the most interested sides.

Sancho has had another impressive season for Dortmund, scoring 16 goals and picking up 21 assists so far, as well as winning the DFB-Pokal for the first time in Germany.

The report also states that Thomas Tuchel is a huge fan of the 21-year-old and that he’ll look to further strengthen his side with the winger, as the Blues look to challenge Manchester City and others next season.

The winger is a player that is sure to be in demand, especially over at Old Trafford. Manchester United were very close to signing Sancho last summer but missed the deadline Dortmund set for clubs to complete the move.

The Blues are likely to fight it out with the Red Devils to land the 21-year-old, should  he become available.

Rodgers praises Mount

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has praised Mason Mount for his performances since establishing himself in the Chelsea side.

Speaking in his post-match press conference after our 2-1 win against his side last night, the former Liverpool head coach went out of his way to hail the 22-year-old midfielder.

‘I want to mention Mason Mount,’ he said. ‘There were doubts around whether he should play for Chelsea or not. This boy is top, top level.

‘He’s an incredible footballer and they should be very proud of him.’

The midfielder was also presented with his Men’s Player of the Year award last night as the fans returned to Stamford Bridge after months away.

Mount has been an influential player once again for the Blues this season.

For the second season running, he has made over 50 appearances. So far this season, he has scored nine goals and picked up eight assists.

Leno hails Blues’ German duo

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has revealed the two Chelsea players he hates to play against.

Speaking to Sport1, Leno revealed that Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger are two Blues players he doesn’t enjoy facing due to their ability.

‘Timo Werner is such a difficult player to play against,’ he said. ‘Because he always goes behind the line and looks for room there.’

However, the Arsenal star also stated that none of his team-mates enjoy playing against another of his German international team-mates, centre-back Rudiger.

‘Rudiger is also a good example,’ he added. ‘Everyone at Arsenal has said that it is extremely bitter and difficult to play against him.

‘Such players are good for a team and can hurt the opponent.’
