Coman linked with Blues

Chelsea are reportedly keen on Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.

According to a report in Fussball Transfer, Coman is said to be on his way out of Germany and the Premier League is likely to be his next destination.

The Frenchman’s deal expires in 2023. However, it is believed that the 24-year-old has not been impressed with the new terms he has been offered by the Bavarian club.

The report states that this could open the door for the Blues to convince Coman to come to Stamford Bridge in efforts to further strengthen our attack.

The Parisian has appeared 39 times for Hansi Flick this season and has netted eight goals and picked up 15 assists.

Chelsea will have to fight off interest from Manchester United who are also said to be eyeing Coman, who is one of the most decorated players in Europe.

Mount named in pundit’s Team of the Season

Jamie Redknapp and Paul Merson have included Mason Mount in their Sky Sports Team of the Season.

At Sky Sports, the pundits had to pick the best 11 that has impressed them this season and many of them turned to the 22-year-old midfielder.

‘Mount has been brilliant this season for both Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel,’ Redknapp said. ‘He’s so consistent.

‘For me, he gets in ahead of Bruno Fernandes as a lot of Fernandes’ goals have been penalties.’

In the Premier League this season, the English international created 87 chances, attempted 76 shots and made 74 tackles. He was the only player to have more than 60 in all three departments.

Paul Merson also had praise for the midfielder’s performances this season and added him to his team.

‘Mount has to make my team as he carried Chelsea in a lot of games this season.’

Boyd praises Gilmour

Kris Boyd has praised Blues midfielder Billy Gilmour after the teenager was called up to Scotland’s Euro 2020 squad.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the former Scotland international believes there is a lot to come from the midfielder.

‘I think it’s the right thing to do, bringing the youngsters in,’ Boyd said. ‘They might be a bit inexperienced but that could help. They haven’t got that pressure.’

Gilmour is still uncapped for the Scotland senior side and will be appearing in the country’s first major tournament since 1998.

‘Gilmour must be doing well to please Roy Keane,’ he added. ‘He is a quality player, and he played a lot for the Under-21s.

‘He’s got himself in and around the Chelsea squad and Steve Clarke likes what he sees.’
