Blues interested in Hakimi

Chelsea are reportedly interested in Inter Milan attacking right-back Achraf Hakimi.

According to The Athletic, the Blues’ interest has been long-standing, having scouted the 22-year-old as a youth player at Real Madrid.

Inter Milan’s current financial struggles could push the Italian giants to sell the Moroccan a year after signing him from Real Madrid, alongside other key players.

Inter signed Hakimi for £40 million in 2020 and has continued to impressed onlookers with his seven goals and 10 assists in his Serie A title-winning season.

Hakimi is contracted until 2025, however it is reported that Thomas Tuchel is impressed by the player and could use him to further strengthen our Champions League-winning side.

The report also states that if we move for the right-back, we will have to fight off Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, two clubs who have also shown an interest in the player.

Ramires hails Kante

Former Blues midfielder Ramires has praised N’Golo Kante’s performances this season and wants to see him win the Ballon d’Or.

Speaking to Mais Futebol, the Brazilian praised the 30-year-old's style of play that often gets overlooked.

‘I watch Kante play and there’s a movie in my head because I see myself,’ he said. ‘He plays, he’s got a highlight reel, but no one sees him wanting to show up off the field.

‘He’s very calm, always quiet. He’s an extraordinary player. He’s in every corner of the field. In defence, in the middle, in attack and on the sides.’

The Frenchman has a chance to clinch his second trophy of the season after joining the France squad for their preparations for Euro 2020. Ramires believes it's also time Kante wins the biggest individual prize in football.

‘He’s among the world’s best,’ he continued. ‘The way he is playing is impressive.

‘He may turn out to be one of the top three in the world. But it’s hard for a defensive midfielder to come in and win a Ballon d’Or. It would be deserved.’

Gallas backs Tuchel

William Gallas is tipping Chelsea to be one of the teams capable of winning the Premier League next season under Thomas Tuchel.

Speaking in a report that was repeated in the Metro, the former Blues defender believes we are one attacking player away from being title contenders.

‘I predicted one of the London clubs to win the title last year, but it didn’t happen,’ he said.

‘Chelsea have the best chance of winning the Premier League because of how they played in the Champions League, every team will be afraid.’

The Frenchman thinks if the Blues bring in another striker to further improve our attack, Tuchel’s side can challenge Manchester City and Liverpool for the league title.

‘If Chelsea buy a world-class striker, they will win it,’ he continued.

‘From those three, (Arsenal and Tottenham) Chelsea have the best chance.
