Pre-season training moved from Cobham to County Kildare today as the preparations for the 2021/22 campaign reached a new stage.

Participation in big summer international tournaments means a significant number of Thomas Tuchel’s squad are still enjoying well-deserved breaks, but those who have been back at the club for pre-season took a flight this Tuesday lunchtime to Dublin for a week of further training a little outside of the Republic of Ireland’s capital city.As for the previous week, which included a 6-1 training ground match win against Peterborough, the current party is primarily a mix of some of the squad which ended the last campaign being crowned European champions and players who have returned from being on loan in 2020/21.

In common with back at base in Surrey, it was sunny weather that greeted Tuchel, his players and his staff and they will be quickly down to work with a training session planned for later in the day. There are plenty more to follow.
