Chelsea interested in Lewandowski

The Blues are plotting a transfer swoop for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, according to a report in the Sun.

The report suggests that Thomas Tuchel is interested in further strengthening our attack and Chelsea are looking at the Poland international as an alternative to Erling Haaland.

‘Chelsea face a fight on their hands to bring Bayern to the negotiating table for the Poland international,’ the report states. ‘Lewandowski is keen for one last adventure before his illustrious career ends and would relish a move to the Premier League.’

The striker scored 48 goals in the 40 games in the 2020/21 season. He also broke Gerd Muller’s long-standing record for Bundesliga goals in a single campaign the last minute of the final game of the term.

The Pole’s contract expires in 2023 and the German giants value the goalscorer at around £50 million.

Hazard tipped to leave Real Madrid

Former Blues winger Eden Hazard could potentially leave Real Madrid this summer.

According to Spanish publication Marca, the Spanish giants are keen to try and cash in on the winger just two years after arriving in the Spanish capital.

Since his move from Chelsea, the Belgian has struggled with injury issues that have limited his playing time. Hazard has featured 43 times for Real Madrid, scoring five goals.

The appointment of former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti and his praise of the former Chelsea man could potentially help our former number 10 regain his form.

‘He’s a top player,’ Ancelotti said when asked about Hazard. ‘He’ll show his skills. Hazard and [Gareth] Bale can be so important for us.’

Hazard scored 110 goals for the Blues during his seven years at Stamford Bridge and is ranked ninth in our all-time top goalscorers list.

Thiago Silva applauds Jorginho

Taking to Instagram, Thiago Silva congratulated the midfielder for his successful season as they both posed for a picture on the beach.

‘Congratulations on the great season my brother,’ the caption read. ‘I love you.’

Jorginho’s performances on the big stage have earned him plenty of recognition as he continues to model his game as one of Europe’s biggest pass masters.

The Italian was instrumental for Italy as he led the Azzurri to their first European Championship in over 50 years.

Thiago Silva also came close to win another continental trophy with his Brazil side. The 1-0 loss to Argentina in the Copa America final means the former Paris Saint-Germain man will have his eyes on next year’s World Cup.
