Chelsea offered Hazard

Real Madrid are ready to offer Eden Hazard a return to Chelsea, according to reports in Spain.

As reported in Spanish newspaper AS, the Madrid side are willing to allow the Belgian winger to leave and are preparing to offer his services to other clubs as they look to bring in significant funds during the summer transfer window.

It is claimed that the first club on their list of potential destinations for Hazard is Chelsea, where the 30-year-old previously spent seven hugely successful years, scoring 110 goals in 352 appearances for the Blues, as well as winning two Premier League titles, two Europa Leagues, the FA Cup and League Cup during his time in west London.

Since leaving for Spain for a record fee in 2019, injury has restricted him to five goals for Real Madrid after playing 21 times last season, including against Chelsea in the Champions League semi-finals, when we triumphed 3-1 on aggregate.

With Real Madrid now reportedly prepared to let Hazard leave the Santiago Bernabeu, it is claimed the Belgian will be offered to Chelsea for a fee of around £50m.

Tuchel impact impresses Deco

Former Chelsea playmaker Deco has told 101 Great Goals he was delighted to see the impact Thomas Tuchel had on the club after joining the Blues as head coach in January.

The ex-Portugal international spent two seasons at Stamford Bridge between 2008 and 2010, winning back-to-back FA Cups and being part of the Blues side that claimed our first-ever domestic Double.

When asked for his opinion on our 2020/21 campaign, Deco stated he was impressed with how we blended a mix of youth and experience in our squad.

‘Chelsea did very well,’ he said. ‘They had a lot of young players, new players last season, as well as experienced players.’

Deco was also impressed with the work done by Tuchel in leading us to glory in the Champions League, and admitted he was cheering on Chelsea as a fan that night in Porto when we defeated Manchester City.

‘They changed the coach, Tuchel took over the team. He did a very good job and I was happy because I was supporting Chelsea in a final and it was amazing seeing Chelsea there once again.’

Fabregas praises reported Chelsea target

Cesc Fabregas has reportedly given his blessing to a potential Chelsea move for young midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, coming out in praise of the Monaco man after rumours in the press linking him with a switch to Stamford Bridge.

Fabregas knows all about what it takes to succeed as a midfielder with the Blues, having won two Premier League titles in his five seasons with the club, and is now a team-mate of Tchouameni’s at Monaco.

The Spaniard was full of praise for the 21-year-old, as reported by football.london, seeming especially impressed by his versatility in midfield for a young player.

‘I think he can play anywhere in midfield and not have a problem,’ said Fabregas. ‘He can play as a defensive midfielder, a number six, he can play as a number eight.

‘In a few years’ time, I even believe he can become a good number 10 because he has the power to get into the box. His final pass needs to improve a little bit but he’s so young. He’s determined to learn and from what I can see and the will that he has, he has a bright future in front of him.’
