Young striker Aggie Beever-Jones has signed her first professional contract with Chelsea Women.

Beever-Jones, who turns 18 today, has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months.

A product of the Chelsea Academy, Beever-Jones made her senior debut for the Blues in a 4-0 away win against Aston Villa last season.

The youngster was then handed her first start for Chelsea in a 5-0 victory over London City Lionesses in the fourth round of the Women’s FA Cup in April.

Upon signing her contract, Beever-Jones said: ‘This contract means everything to me. I’ve worked so hard to get to where I am now. It’s been a childhood dream of mine so for it to come true is amazing.

‘I can’t thank Chelsea enough for all the support they have given me. It’s the best feeling in the world.’

Chelsea Women general manager Paul Green added: ‘Aggie is a great young player coming through our Academy, who can play anywhere across the front line. Aggie has proven that she can hold her own in our senior team environment and as part of her development, we’ll be looking to send her out on loan for the forthcoming season to ensure she gains valuable game time.

'We’re glad to sign Aggie on her first professional contract and we look forward to seeing how she continues to develop over the coming years.’

Beever-Jones is the third youngster to sign a first professional contract with the club this month, joining Charlotte Wardlaw and goalkeeper Emily Orman.
