Important travel and bag size update for Tottenham game: Fulham Broadway Station closed post-match

Supporters attending The Mind Series fixture against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday should take note of the following information regarding London Underground line and station closures and stadium bag size restrictions.

Fulham Broadway Station closure

After the Tottenham game, Fulham Broadway Station will be closed. Supporters are advised to walk to Earl’s Court or Hammersmith Stations for District Line services westbound or Piccadilly Line services. Walking routes are shown below.

TFL strike

A strike by Tube drivers planned for Wednesday was suspended on Monday.

However, we advise you to still check your journey on the TFL website before you travel.

District and Circle line closure

Planned engineering work is taking place on the District and Circle Lines on Wednesday so there will be NO service between:

Edgware Road and Aldgate via Victoria on the Circle Line.

Earl's Court and Aldgate East on the District Line.

The District Line will be running as normal between Edgware Road and Wimbledon.

Piccadilly Line trains are not calling at South Kensington Station until spring 2022. See below for a walking route to and from Earl's Court or Hammersmith.

Supporters travelling to the game are encouraged to plan their journey and check before travelling.

Bag size restrictions

Chelsea Football Club takes the safety and security of our supporters and colleagues extremely seriously. Together with the police and other partners we continually review our operations to ensure we meet the exacting standards required of a large venue such as Stamford Bridge.

Please note we are modifying our entry conditions in relation to bag sizes and will now apply a strict limit on the size of bags which can be taken into the stadium.

No bags larger than A4 will be permitted. This equates to 30cm x 20cm x 10cm, about the size of a standard handbag.

This will improve security and also reduce congestion during your entry to the site and into the stadium.

Please note that due to a lack of space, baggage deposit facilities will not be available so you are strongly advised not to bring any bags to Stamford Bridge.

Please understand that these standards apply to all supporters and that anyone who refuses this process will not be permitted to enter.

Key messages:

• Please arrive early to allow time for the extra security searches and checks.

• Bags larger than A4 will NOT be allowed into the stadium.

• Please be vigilant and report anything which causes you concern or which you think may constitute a safety risk to the nearest security officer, steward or police officer.

Thank you for your help and co-operation in helping to make Stamford Bridge a safer and more enjoyable experience.
