Chelsea FC Women young goalkeeper Emily Orman will spend the 2021/22 season on loan to FA Women’s Championship outfit Crystal Palace.

The 18-year-old signed her first professional contract with Chelsea over the summer and will now head to south London to gain valuable experience at Crystal Palace.

Orman is yet to receive her Chelsea senior debut but has trained regularly alongside the Blues at Cobham, as well as being included in matchday squads throughout last season.

The No.32 joined the Chelsea Academy at the age of 16 and has represented England at national performance camps from the age of 14, and competed at every international age grade through to the Under-19s.

General manager, Paul Green said: ‘Going to Crystal Palace is a great opportunity for Emily to gain first team playing experience within the Championship, to continue her development as a young goalkeeper.

‘We wish Emily all the best and look forward to closely watching her progress throughout the season.’

This follows the recent announcement of our young Blues, Aggie-Beever Jones and Charlotte Wardlaw who also secured season-long loans to Bristol City and Liverpool this week.
