Chelsea linked with Coman

According to The Mirror, both Chelsea and Liverpool have been alerted to Kingsley Coman’s situation at Bayern Munich.

The French defender is reportedly ready to leave the German champions for a fresh challenge next season, with the Blues and Liverpool both touted as potential Premier League destinations for Coman.

‘Chelsea and Liverpool are on 'red alert' after an ex-Bayern sporting director casted doubts over Coman's future,’ the report states.

‘Christian Nerlinger recently told BILD TV: ‘I don't think he will stay in Munich. Bayern have a recent tendency to lose players for free.

‘But you can't do that in the long run, you have to sell players from time to time if the offer is right.

‘Coman is an excellent player, but given the situation, I think Bayern will consider selling him.’

Tottenham and former club Juventus are also reportedly keen on adding Coman to their respective attacks.

Saul impressed with Thiago Silva

Recent Chelsea addition Saul has picked out Thiago Silva as the current team-mate who has left him ‘very surprised’ with the quality he has shown day in, day out.

The Spaniard joined Chelsea on loan from Atletico Madrid on deadline day, making his debut against Aston Villa in the following Premier League game.

Before that fixture, the midfielder spent time at Cobham training with his new team-mates and getting to know his surroundings and our No.17 has revealed on journalist Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel why Thiago Silva has impressed him the most.

‘I was very surprised by Thiago Silva,’ Saul said on the video. ‘A person at 36 years, with the level he has, being a professional in the gym every day with us.

‘He works not to get injured, he is always focused, he is very intelligent tactically and understands football very well.

‘It guides you in the match. He understands football very well and has surprised me a lot for good reasons.’

Souness says Chelsea are the ‘real deal’

Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness believes Chelsea are genuine title contenders this season, after labelling the Blues as ‘the real deal’.

Thomas Tuchel led his side to an impressive 3-0 away win at Tottenham yesterday, with goals from Thiago Silva, N’Golo Kante and Toni Rudiger brushing away our London rivals in the second half and leaving a big impression on Souness, as reported in The Mail.

‘Right now, they're the real deal,’ said Souness, as reported in The Mail.

‘First half, Spurs were better but yet Chelsea ended up winning 3-0. They've got tremendous belief and today was a classic example. That's what separates top teams from good teams.

‘If you're a big team, whoever you're playing, you have to be ready to meet that physical challenge head on. It's incessant now.

‘You can’t mess with this guy [Tuchel]. For him, it was more about energy levels and being first to the ball, being aggressive and he's picked that up very quickly in our game.

‘That's so important, more important in the Premier League than any other league, that you have to be physically ready for it.’
