Covid-19 requirements

It is important all supporters visiting Kingsmeadow on Sunday are aware of the following information or they risk not being admitted.

Supporters attending our home matches at Kingsmeadow this season are required to provide evidence they are at low risk of transmitting Covid-19. This is to increase the safety and comfort of our supporters, players and staff as we host large crowds again.

This can be done through proof of full Covid-19 vaccination (with both doses received at least 14 days prior to the match) or proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test (from age 11 and over) carried out within 48 hours of the fixture kicking off. More information can be found here.

The form

The Blues will be hoping for our fourth consecutive league win tomorrow when they go head-to-head with Leicester City. We have won 16 of our last 17 WSL matches. Chelsea also drew 3-3 with Wolfsburg in our opening Champions League match at home.

With a recent run of three home matches to entertain the Kingsmeadow crowd, last Saturday Chelsea faced Brighton and Hove Albion and secured the three points against the Seagulls with a 3-1 win following goals from Guro Reiten, Sam Kerr and Bethany England.

Leicester have lost all four of their opening matches this season and sit 10th in the league table, but will be hoping to bounce back and make a statement away to Chelsea.

Chelsea Women vs Leicester City Women recent head-to-head record

This is the first ever meeting between Chelsea and Leicester in any women's competition, although the Blues did head to Leicester for a pre-season friendly earlier this summer.

Next up for the Blues

The Blues head away to Italy for our second match in the Champions League Group Stage as we face Juventus at the Allianz Stadium in Turin. The match takes places on Wednesday 13 October and has an 8pm (UK time) kick-off.
