Pernille Harder’s spectacular solo effort against Manchester United has won the Barclays FA Women’s Super League Goal of the Month award.

Harder doubled the Blues lead against Man United when she raced down the left wing, shrugged off challenges from defenders to go one-on-one with Mary Earps and provided a delightful dink over the United goalkeeper.

The Chelsea forward was named Player of the Match after our 6-1 away victory and her brilliant solo goal has been named September’s Goal of the Month.

Harder’s goal against United was up against five other individual efforts, including that of team-mate Fran Kirby in the Blues 4-0 victory over Everton, but it was Harder’s brilliant solo goal that has come out on top.

Harder has been in fine form for Chelsea this season and has netted six goals in eight appearances, including the winner in Wednesday’s 2-1 away win at Juventus.
