Our development squad are back at Kingsmeadow in Premier League 2 action against Derby County this lunchtime. Kick-off is scheduled for 1pm and tickets can be purchased in person only at the ticket office.

Team news

Andy Myers will have some big decisions to make for this clash against Derby, who currently sit bottom of the table with three points. Following Wednesday night’s impressive performance in Bristol, in which the young Blues claimed a 2-1 victory in the Papa John's Trophy, there will be a number of players pushing for a starting spot.

Some might not feature still due to the international break, such as Harvey Vale and Bryan Fiabema. However, the likes of Jayden Wareham and Dion Rankine will have done themselves no harm in gaining Myers’s trust to deserve starts in this one.

Previous meetings

In this fixture last season, we were on the right side of a 3-2 scoreline. An entertaining game saw Tino Anjorin and Bryan Fiabema get themselves on the scoresheet at Cobham.

However, Derby did beat Myers's men earlier in that season with a 2-1 victory, despite us scoring first through George McEachran.

The opposition

Derby currently sit bottom of PL2 on three points with a game in hand on those immediately above them. They have won one game this season, similar to us, but have lost the other five games they have played, scoring six and conceding 11.

Their last and only win of the season came a few weeks back against West Ham, as they were 3-1 winners on that occasion.
