A late kick-off today sees our development squad in action against Leicester City in the PL2. Andy Myers and his boys will be looking to build on the recent enncocuraging displays in a tricky away fixture which is scheduled to kick-off at 5pm.

Last time out, we managed to secure a win against Derby County late on with goals from George McEachran and Bryan Fiabema, so our young Blues will be looking to make it two out of two in the PL2 competition and three on the bounce in all competitions.

Team News

Dion Rankine has been a man in form with positive displays against Bristol Rovers, Derby, and Malmo in the Uefa Youth League, however in that competition where Chelsea played on Wednsday, he was forced off with an injury. His availability is under question.

Besides that, Myers should have a fully fit squad available to him.

He will be pleased that Fiabema found himself on the scoresheet last time out and as a result of that Harvey Vale and Fiabema are now currently our joint top scorers in the PL2 this season with four goals.

The opponents

Leicester's form is very identical to ours as they too have won two of their last five games. However, we definitely come into this the more confident side as in their last outing they were defeated comprehensively by unbeaten league leaders Manchester City 5-0.

The Foxes currently sit in 11th place, with two wins, two draws and three losses having scored nine goals and conceded seventeen, albeit with a game in hand against bottom club Derby County.
