Werner's amusing matchday moment

Chelsea cruised to a 7-0 win over Norwich on Saturday despite the absence of strikers Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku, who both missed out through injury.

That hasn’t stopped Werner making the headlines though, with the German being captured in the stands by an amusing moment that Blues fans will love.

In a story covered by Give Me Sport, Werner’s opinion on a particular type of sweet was revealed.

‘Werner can be seen asking a staff member for what looked to be a wine gum,' the report states.

‘The staff member obliged but, when Werner realised he had been given an orange wine gum, he didn't take it well at all.

‘Werner genuinely looked distraught and handed the sweet to another staff member before trying to get another.

‘Unfortunately, the cameras cut away so we will never know whether was given a wine gum that he was satisfied with.’

Sevilla stand strong amid Kounde exit rumours

Sevilla president Jose Castro has spoken about the future of Jules Kounde, claiming the club is not ‘broke’ amid suggestions the club needs to sell the Frenchman.

The Blues were linked with the defender in the summer and a story by The Sun claims that Sevilla have no intention of selling Kounde.

‘To say that the club is broke is ridiculous,’ Seville president Jose Castro said, according to the report.

‘Last season we had a surplus, after a season without season tickets, without ticket sales.

‘The deficit would have been resolved by selling Kounde and we showed that we are economically powerful and we will not accept €50million.

‘To say that Sevilla is broke is to not have affection for the club.’

The Sun claim that Chelsea made a bid for the defender during the summer.

‘Chelsea reportedly made a £43million offer for the France defender in the summer,' adds the report. 'But Sevilla dismissed the bid and were holding out for an offer in the region of £60m.’

Three Blues in Crooks’ Team of the Week

Three Chelsea payers have made their way into Garth Crooks’ Team of the Week, after our 7-0 victory over Norwich on Saturday.

The Blues were dominant from start to finish and the whole team impressed, but three men stood out in the eyes of the TV Pundit.

After his first Chelsea hat-trick it is no surprise to see midfielder Mason Mount amongst the XI.

‘It was good to see Mount back in a Chelsea shirt and among the goals again,’ Crooks wrote in a BBC article.

Elsewhere, wing-backs Reece James and Ben Chilwell impressed Crooks, with Blues defenders now scoring nine of our 19 Premier League goals this term.

On Reece James, Crook said: ‘I'm in awe of a Chelsea squad that is producing some amazing home-grown talent.

‘Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and without doubt the jewel in the crown, James. There was a time, not so long ago, when English players couldn't get a game in the Premier League. Not anymore.’

Ben Chilwell has scored in four consecutive Premier League games, the first to do so since Eden Hazard. ‘He was very unlucky not to make my selection for his performance against Brentford last week after a thunderous half-volley,' added Crooks.

‘However, I just couldn't ignore the England full-back after his performance against Norwich. Chilwell scored his fourth goal in four league games against Norwich and is in the form of his life.’
