Ben Chilwell v Brentford (A) - Premier League

Chilwell’s thunderous half-volley in our 1-0 victory at Brentford starts the list. As the ball dropped to Chilly on the edge of the box, the left-back was in the right place at the right time to power home.

Mason Mount v Norwich (H) - first goal - Premier League

The opener from Mount in our 7-0 thumping of Norwich City also makes the list. The midfielder had next to no room on the edge of the Canaries box to find space for a shot but the still managed to shift the ball onto his right foot and drive a neat finish into the bottom corner. The first of three he would score that day.

Reece James v Newcastle (A) - first goal - Premier League

Chelsea had dominated the first half of proceedings at Newcastle in late October but it needed a moment of quality to breach a stubborn Newcastle defence and open the scoring. That came in the form of Reece James’s left foot, as he cut inside and fired into the top corner from a tight angle.

Sam Kerr v Wolfsburg (H) - Women's Champions League

Chelsea Women’s striker Sam Kerr also makes the cut with her audacious chip over Wolfsburg goalkeeper Almut Schult. After a perfectly-weighted pass found the Australian in space, the striker showed her class with a stunning finish.

Erin Cuthbert v Juventus (A) - Women's Champions League

Erin Cuthbert’s brilliant solo run and goal against Juventus in the Women’s Champions League also joins October’s list, after a excellent first touch allowed her to cut inside and finish smoothly.

Bryan Fiabema v Derby (H) - second goal - PL2

Young Norwegian striker Bryan Fiabema also scored a fine goal last month, after he netted the second in our 2-0 home win against Derby County. The striker only needed one touch to finish clinically and instinctively.

Dion Rankine v Malmo (H) - UEFA Youth League

Rankine’s goal in the 4-2 UEFA Youth League victory over Malmo finalises the list of sweet strikes, after he netted the first of four for the Blues with a fantastic left-foot finish into the top corner.
