Conor Gallagher has been called up to the senior England squad for Monday’s World Cup qualifier against San Marino.

The Chelsea midfielder, currently starring on loan for Crystal Palace in the Premier League, will move up from the Under-21 side to join Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions, following the withdrawal of a number of players, including Mason Mount.

Mount has been ruled out by Southgate, with the England head coach confirming that the dental surgery Mason undertook earlier in the week will keep him out.

Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling, Jack Grealish and Luke Shaw are the others to have pulled out of the squad for Monday’s clash in San Marino.
