N’Golo Kante has been named on the eight-man shortlist in the running to win the Premier League Goal of the Month award for November.

The Frenchman received the nomination for his second goal of the season, a brilliant effort in the 3-0 win away at Leicester City.

There did not seem to be much danger when he received the ball from Reece James wide on the right and just inside the Leicester half, but Kante drove forward at pace and nobody could get near him, before curling a precise left-footed shot through the gap and inside Kasper Schmeichel’s near post.

You can watch that goal again in the video above and cast your vote for N’Golo to win the award here until midday (UK time) on Monday. Kante would become the second person from Chelsea to win a Premier League monthly award this season, after Thomas Tuchel was named Manager of the Month for October.

The other seven names in the running to receive the award are Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Harvey Barnes (Leicester City), Maxwel Cornet (Burnley), Raul Jimenez (Wolverhampton Wanderers), John McGinn (Aston Villa), Rodri and Raheem Sterling (both Manchester City).

The winner of the November Premier League Goal of the Month award will be announced at 1pm on Friday 10 December.
