Blues midfielder Jessie Fleming has won the Barclays FA WSL Player of the Month award for November.

Fleming was nominated for the award after a string of impressive performances against Aston Villa, Manchester City and Birmingham.

The midfielder beat off competition from Reading’s Natasha Dowie, Manchester City’s Lauren Hemp, Arsenal’s Kim Little and Tottenham Hotspur’s Ria Percival.

Chelsea won all three November fixtures, with Fleming having a key part to play in each of them. The Canadian netted the winning goal against Aston Villa and opened the scoring in the Blues’ vital 4-0 win against Manchester City.

Fleming wrapped up a successful month by assisting Sam Kerr for the first of her three goals against Birmingham.

Following a successful November, the Blues currently sit second in the FA WSL, one point behind league leaders Arsenal, who Chelsea beat 3-0 in the Women’s FA Cup final on Sunday.

The Blues are back to FA WSL action on Saturday morning as we travel to Kelly Chambers’ Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium. Supporters can watch the game live on Sky Sports.
