Thomas Tuchel has made two changes to his side to face Wolves this afternoon, with N’Golo Kante and Trevoh Chalobah both handed starts in midfield.

The duo come in for Jorginho and Ruben Loftus-Cheek who both miss out completely. Tuchel did say in his pre-match press conference that the midfield pair were injury doubts for this Premier League clash.

Edouard Mendy retains his place between the sticks, with a defensive three in front of him consisting of skipper Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva and Toni Rudiger.

Reece James and Marcos Alonso will flank the central midfield pairing of Kante and Chalobah, while Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech are the front three selected by Tuchel at Molineux.

The Blues are heavily depleted with illness and injury and are only able to select six substitutes, two of which are goalkeepers Kepa Arrizabalaga and Marcus Bettinelli.

Mateo Kovacic does return to the bench though, along with Malang Sarr, Saul and Ross Barkley.
