The Blues played seven games in just three weeks in January, across three competitions, and were given the chance to rest and recharge courtesy of the Premier League’s winter break.

Chelsea return to Stamford Bridge this Saturday as we host League One side Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup, before flying out to Abu Dhabi shortly after to compete at the Club World Cup for the second time in club’s history.

Defenders Andreas Christensen and Trevoh Chalobah, who both missed multiple games last month, were back in full training alongside the likes of Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic and skipper Cesar Azpilicueta. Edouard Mendy will compete in the African Cup of Nations semi-finals tomorrow, whilst Thiago Silva and Christian Pulisic are away with Brazil and USA respectively.
