Ziyech’s strike named Chelsea’s January Goal of the Month

Hakim Ziyech’s incredible strike against Tottenham has won the vote from Chelsea fans for our best goal in January.

The Moroccan curled in a beautiful effort to open the scoring in our Premier League clash with Spurs and later marked it as a ’10 out of 10’ goal.

Blues supporters agreed, with the unbelievable curler earning 60 per cent of votes from fans around the world who participated across The 5th Stand app and the official club website. You can enjoy the goal again from a variety of angles in the video below.

Mateo Kovacic might ordinarily have claimed the prize for his stunning volley against Liverpool earlier in the month, an effort that won the Premier League Goal of the Month award.

The midfielder picked up 36 per cent of the vote for an instinctive strike that started our comeback against the Reds at Stamford Bridge.

In third place was Christian Pulisic’s equaliser in the same game, with the American receiving two per cent of the remaining vote share.
