Christian Pulisic is hoping to add another trophy to his collection this weekend, with the American eying up Carabao Cup success against Liverpool.

The Blues take on Jurgen Klopp’s Reds at Wembley on Sunday, aiming to add another piece of silverware to our trophy cabinet having already secured the Club World Cup earlier this month.

Pulisic felt that winning in Abu Dhabi has helped breed confidence throughout Thomas Tuchel’s squad and is hoping that winning mentality can continue at the national stadium.

‘It’s always great to win a trophy, no matter at what point of the season,’ said Christian.

‘Winning the Club World Cup was huge for us and it gave everyone a big lift for sure. I think it breeds a winning mentality throughout the club and it was a really nice one to win.

‘We’re still hungry for more trophies though and we’ve got another shot at silverware on Sunday in the Carabao Cup.

‘We’ve turned all of our focus towards that one and there’s still so much to play for this season, it’s exciting.

‘We enjoyed the win against Lille [in the Champions League earlier this week] but then it was all about resting and recovering before getting back to work ahead of the cup final.

‘Of course we are up against a tough opponent in Liverpool, in a tough final but it’s another chance at winning a trophy and I’m really looking forward to it.’

Pulisic was among the goals in our 2-0 Champions League first leg knockout victory over Lille at Stamford Bridge, adding the second following Kai Havertz’s opener.

The American shone in a left forward role and says he’s ‘feeling good’ after getting back up to full speed following a stop-start beginning to the campaign.

‘I’m feeling good,’ explained our No.10. ‘I’m feeling very healthy and I’m happy to be able to help the team on the pitch right now.

‘Getting a goal the other night was great, I’m feeling really good in myself and I’m just trying to get some rhythm and grow some confidence.

‘I’m delighted to be playing and everything is really good right now.’
