Chelsea FC Women boss Emma Hayes has been named as the Barclays FA Women’s Super League Manager of the Month after several dominant displays.

March was a perfect month for Hayes’ side, who won all five of our WSL fixtures, scoring an impressive 17 goals. The Blues boss beat off competition from Arsenal’s Jonas Eidevall and Manchester City’s Gareth Taylor.

Navigating a busy month, with seven games in total including Vitality Women’s FA Cup and Continental Tyres League Cup fixtures, the Blues earned maximum points in the league and climbed to the top of the WSL for the first time this season.

March was rounded off with an emphatic 9-0 victory away to Leicester City. The Blues were the first team in WSL history to score four goals in the first 10 minutes of a game as Hayes’ side dominated from start to finish.

It’s an international break now for the Blues, after which we return to action on Sunday 17 April when we travel to Arsenal for the semi-final of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.

Hayes’ side are back at Kingsmeadow on Thursday 28 April, playing host to Tottenham Hotspur in the WSL. To purchase your tickets for our clash against Spurs, click here.
