Chelsea FC Women are back from international action and will head straight into Sunday’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup semi-final showdown with Arsenal.

When and where?

The Blues will take on Arsenal on Sunday afternoon at Meadow Park and the game kicks off at 12.30pm (UK time).

How to follow and watch live

As always, you can follow the game via Chelsea Women’s social media channels. There will be live commentary on our Twitter page and regular updates on Facebook and Instagram. Simply search ‘ChelseaFCW' on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

For UK viewers, the game will also be broadcast live on BBC Two.

The form

Prior to going on international duty, earlier in April, the Blues emerged victorious in a 5-0 win against Reading at Kingsmeadow. Doubles from Sam Kerr and Bethany England and a superbly-taken Jessie Fleming strike helped Emma Hayes’ side remain top of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League. Hayes’ side sit one point above Arsenal, with four games remaining.

Before Sunday’s semi-final, the Blues recorded wins over Aston Villa, Leicester City and Birmingham City, scoring 15 goals across those three games.

Arsenal secured their place in the semi-final with wins over London City Lionesses, Liverpool and Coventry United.

Chelsea Women vs Arsenal Women recent head-to-head record

Sunday’s game will be the fourth encounter with Jonas Eidevall’s side this season. Our most recent outing against the Gunners saw us draw 0-0 at Kingsmeadow in February, while Eidevall’s side claimed all three points on the opening day of the season with a 3-2 win at the Emirates.

Our semi-final tie is a repeat of last year’s final, which was played in December 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Hayes’ side ran out 3-0 winners at Wembley with a goal from Fran Kirby and a Kerr brace as we lifted our third ever FA Cup trophy.

Next up for the Blues

Chelsea’s next test after Arsenal will be our postponed fixture, Tottenham Hotspur, at home as we return to league action. The match takes place on Thursday 28 April, kicking off at 7.45pm. Our clash against Spurs will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
