The men were at Wembley Stadium to take on Crystal Palace and emerged victorious from a tough game, with first-half substitute Ruben Loftus-Cheek opening the scoring with a fine goal after the break against the side he previously represented on loan, before Mason Mount continued his excellent recent form with a composed second.

That mimiced what Chelsea Women had done earlier in the day, as they also beat a fellow London team 2-0 in the Women's FA Cup semi-finals. They were away at Arsenal in the last four, where it was another two impressive second-half strikes which decided the match, from Guro Reiten and Ji So-Yun.
