Chelsea currently sit top of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League with three games remaining, with Spurs providing the first of those three tests.

It’s the second meeting with Rehanne Skinner’s side in just four days following Sunday’s 3-1 win against the north London side at The Hive.

A first-half goal from Guro Reiten and second-half strikes from Sam Kerr and Jessie Fleming wrapped up a vital win on the road for Emma Hayes’ side.

The win on Sunday proved vital for the Blues after an eventful game which saw Chelsea go 1-0 down before being reduced to 10 players following Ann-Katrin Berger’s sending off on the half-hour mark.

The Wales international described the emotions at full-time, adding: ‘I think the main feelings were pride and belief, we stuck together in the tough times. Yes, it wasn’t pretty, but we knew what we had to do to win the game and we knew it wasn’t going to be easy because they are a great team.’

Ingle expects another tough test at Kingsmeadow this evening.

‘They are a tough team to play against, they defend really well and get really compact but also have threats going forward with their direct play and they have players who can hold the ball up and bring others into play.’

The title race this year is as close as it’s ever been in the WSL, Ingle believes that’s the best way for the league to be.

‘Of course it’s exciting! Nobody wants to run away with the title so early on in the season, you want it to be as competitive as it can be and that every team is pushing each other.’

Our No.5 also discussed the importance of the fans and just how vital they have been in recent weeks, and how much they’ll be needed in the final run-in.

‘Our fans are incredible. They travel everywhere with us. We can always hear them no matter what and they are always much louder than any of the opposition fans.

‘We fight for them as they do us and we can’t wait to see them all tonight at Kingsmeadow.’
