Mason Mount, Reece James and Conor Gallagher have been named in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the start of the Three Lions’ Nations League campaign next week.

England have fixtures away to Hungary and Germany, and then at home to Italy and Hungary. Their first game, in Budapest on Saturday 4 June, is behind closed doors, as is their home fixture with Italy at Molineux on 11 June.

Mount has 27 England caps and four goals to his name. James has played 10 times for his country, and Gallagher, who spent this season at Crystal Palace, on three occasions since debuting last year.

The Chelsea trio are in a group of 27 named by Southgate for the quartet of games, with potential for Chelsea players going head to head in Group A3 of the Nations League. Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Toni Rudiger have been selected by Germany, and Jorginho and Emerson are in the Italy squad.

N’Golo Kante (France), Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta (Spain), and Romelu Lukaku and Michy Batshuayi (Belgium), will also be in Nations League action at the start of June.

World Cup play-offs beckon for Scotland and Wales, with Billy Gilmour and Ethan Ampadu in their respective squads.

Thiago Silva and Brazil have friendlies in Asia, and there are four matches for Christian Pulisic and the USA to look forward to, including the start of their CONCACAF Nations League campaign.

We will publish a full international preview article, with details of every game at senior and youth level, later this week once all squads have been confirmed.
