Mount then won the ball and played a pass for Bukayo Saka to have a shot on target in added time before the break. The Arsenal man looked more likely to score with an attempt just wide moments after.

Havertz was involved in the move that led to Hoffmann firing the home side ahead five minutes into the second half but Mount almost pulled the scoreline back straight away with a sweet strike from the edge of the area, well saved by Manuel Neuer.Werner was introduced with 25 minutes left to play and his side still 1-0 up, shortly before Mount was withdrawn by England.After that there were saves at both ends, one from Jordan Pickford after a link-up between Havertz and Werner. Neuer did very well to keep out Kane but he could not prevent the England captain netting his 50th international goal after the striker himself had been tripped.There were no Chelsea players involved in Italy’s match against Hungary with Jorginho and Emerson Palmieri among several allowed a rest from this month’s Nations League fixtures. Lucas Bergstrom was an unused sub for Finland Under-21s in their 3-0 win over Azerbaijan which keeps them joint-top of their Euro qualification group.Bryan Fiabema was a half-time sub for Norway Under-19s in a qualifier in Serbia and did his part in an attempted fightback from 3-0 down by supplying two assists, but he ended up on the wrong side of a 3-2 final score.Brodi Hughes and Lewis Hall started in an England Under-18 3-2 win over Austria although Hughes was sent off controversially right at the end. Jude Soonsup-Bell came on in the second half while Charlie Webster remained unused.
