Ethan Ampadu and Billy Gilmour remained as unused substitutes for Wales and Scotland respectively, in UEFA Nations League games at home to the Netherlands and Armenia, so instead the action centred around Michy Batshuayi who started and played 84 minutes for Belgium in their Nations League match against Poland. Romelu Lukaku was missing due to an ankle injury.The Belgians came back from going a goal down at home to win very well, with the 6-1 final score giving them their first win in their group after a heavy opening-match defeat to the Dutch.Against Poland, Batshuayi assisted for the third goal late in the game but there was certainly plenty of involvement early on for the striker, who spent last season on loan at Besiktas.In the fourth minute he hit the post having shot across the goalkeeper, with Eden Hazard missing the rebound. Celtic wing-back Anthony Ralston on his first start and Forest defender Scott McKenna were the scorers against the Armenians.
