As the Blues gear up for our visit stateside, the club paired up with photographer Mel D. Cole and Charcoal Pitch FC to explore US fan culture in Los Angeles and Miami.

Fans can now secure their seats for all three of Chelsea’s much-anticipated matches in the United States against Club America, Charlotte FC and Arsenal.

Last season, Chelsea joined Mel D. Cole as he explored the club’s unique fan culture in New York City in the series ‘5 Boroughs’, with each episode focusing on fans in a different borough of the Big Apple. Ahead of the club’s upcoming US Tour, which will see Thomas Tuchel’s side playing three games in Las Vegas, Charlotte and Orlando, Chelsea, in partnership with Mel D Cole and Charcoal Pitch FC, made a trip to two of the states we’ll be visiting, to tell the unique stories of six fans in Los Angeles and Miami.

As we start the one-month countdown until our first game against Club America in Las Vega on 16 July, Mel described what he observed speaking to Chelsea’s fans in the US: ‘They have that ride or die mentality. I also think what makes them unique is that there isn’t just one box you can put them in.’

It was through this lens the renowned photographer explored the six individual stories of ‘The Bridge’. Featuring fans from different parts of Los Angeles, CA and Miami, FL, the series delves deep into just how unique and dedicated Chelsea fans are across the United States, and how their cities and personal identities connect with the Blues in SW6.

Episode 1, released today, sees rapper Quinn XCII give Mel D. Cole a tour around his adopted home, Venice Beach, Los Angeles. During the photographer’s visit to the West Coast neighbourhood, we see the Detroit native, Quinn, get a tattoo of his all-time favourite Chelsea player!

That level of dedication and passion lies across each of the six episodes, released weekly from today, with fans in cities on both American coasts demonstrating the feverish excitement and unique spirit the squad can expect to find this summer on the team’s pre-season tour of the country.
