Aggie Beever-Jones insists the Blues have been working hard to get back to winning ways when we host Leicester City in the Women's Super League tonight.

Just three days after our last WSL encounter - a 2-2 draw away to Brighton & Hove Albion - Sonia Bompastor's side have a fresh opportunity to put three points on the board at Kingsmeadow.

And while it was disappointing to not come away with the win against the Seagulls at the weekend, Chelsea forward Beever-Jones says the Blues will be raring to consolidate our place at the top of the WSL table when we face the Foxes.

'It'll be a fresh start again,' Beever-Jones said. 'Brighton was frustrating not to get three points, but now it's about parking that disappointment and moving forward to the next game against Leicester.

'We know where we need to improve. We have reflected on Brighton and we appreciate that we did well to get back into the game. But, it's the final detail that needs to be better for us to get the win.

'We'll be ready for Wednesday night and ultimately we will want to put things right again.'

When the two sides met back in December, Leicester became the first of only two sides to take points from Chelsea in the WSL this season, as Wieke Kaptein scored a late equaliser to cancel out Missy Goodwin's opening effort.

That result, Beever Jones tells us, will not hinder the Blues in Kingston but rather prepare them for what to expect when taking on Amandine Miquel's team.

'They might come fighting, but we know how they want to play now,' Beever-Jones added. 'Playing teams in a low block is always hard because they sit really low, and ultimately, you've got 11 bodies that you're trying to get past.

'We have analysed them and we'll know how to break them down. I'm sure we can go and get the three points on Wednesday night.'

Last weekend, Beever-Jones put in an impressive shift against Brighton, playing her fourth 90 minutes in the league this season, and is hoping to get a fresh opportunity to build on that display against the 10th-placed Foxes this evening.

'I was happy to be starting against Brighton and I'm happy with my performance, but I'm frustrated I couldn't get a goal or an assist,' Beever-Jones said.

'It has been good for me to analyse it as a team and individually to see where I could have helped out a little bit more.

'We go again now. Having these games close together is the beauty of playing for this club, we've got such quick turnarounds and you have to park what's just happened and now move ahead.'
