Aggie Beever-Jones has called for the Chelsea fans to bring the noise as we face Barcelona in the Women's Champions League at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.
The striker grew up as a Blues fan and came up through the club's academy before breaking into the first team in the 2023/24 campaign.
It means Beever-Jones knew what the rivalry with Barcelona meant to Chelsea supporters even before she was part of the squad that suffered a two-legged defeat to the Catalan side last season.
'For me, this is an historic fixture,' she said. 'Barcelona are known for being one of the best teams in the world, and being a Chelsea fan growing up, it was always an exciting game to watch.
'Playing for Chelsea now, it's every year; you have to face them at some point, so it's always an exciting game. Hopefully, we can right some wrongs from previous years and come into the game fighting and ready to prove a point.
'My role always stays the same. To give the best of myself. To take the opportunity to play well, perform and help the team.'
The 22-year-old has already achieved so much for Chelsea, having finished as our top scorer during last season's domestic Treble-winning campaign.
Despite the youngster's success, she is still in awe of playing in fixtures against other top-level sides at the Bridge, and feels the Blues have prepared in the best possible way to face Barcelona.
'I try not to think about it too much, so that I don’t get in my own head, but playing in these big games is always what you dream of as a little kid,' she smiles. 'It’s where the most fans are, and where the most atmosphere is. Hopefully, we can show what we can do individually and collectively.
'Having dropped points against Twente, which was obviously frustrating for us, to get back into winning form would be great, especially against a top team. Obviously, Barcelona are currently top of the Women's Champions League table.
'We know it's not going to be an easy game by any means, but we have to prepare and look at their weaknesses, see where we can exploit that, but equally focus on ourselves and our strengths.
'It will definitely give Barcelona a little bit of something different to think about if they drop some points and we win. Hopefully, we'll go into the game well-equipped and come away with three points.'
Chelsea faced the Blaugrana over two legs in the Women's Champions League semi-final last season, and were disappointed to lose 4-1 in both of those matches.
The Blues created opportunities to score over the 120 minutes of action, and Beever-Jones feels that the heavy scoreline didn't completely reflect how the games were played out. With that now behind us, the striker wants to take the chance to draw a line under last season's results and move forward, hopefully with a win.
'I think we look back to that game, on aggregate, it wasn't a scoreline we felt reflected the matches,' Beever-Jones continued. 'They had some chances, and they were so clinical, while we didn't put our chances away.
'So there is always that element of revenge, and we want to right those wrongs. Credit to Barcelona, they are an incredible team, and they're flying at the moment. But to be the best, you have to beat the best, and that's something that we are willing to do at Chelsea and give it our all.'
The home-grown striker, who grew up near Chelsea's training ground in Cobham, has a close relationship with the club's supporters. Her love for football partly came from her Grandad who was a season ticket holder and would take Aggie to the Bridge as a youngster.
She has called for fans to pack inside the stands on Thursday evening to give the players an extra weapon against what is without doubt one of the toughest opponents in women's football.
'We need as many fans as possible to create a good atmosphere and make Barcelona scared to come to Stamford Bridge,' she concluded. 'We want them to feel like they're coming to our fortress.
'They're coming onto our home soil, and we want them to be scared of that, and that's why we need as many fans as possible. We’re not going to go down without a fight, and sometimes the fans can be a real catalyst for the whole game, and that can be the difference.
'It needs to be loud, be proud, and be blue, and hopefully we can repay that with a win.'
