Matos joined the Blues in July 2023 and made his first-team debut as a late substitute in a victory over Fulham the following October.

He spent the second half of that campaign on loan at Huddersfield Town, making 20 appearances for the Terriers and scoring once.

Matos featured regularly for our Under-21s during the first half of the 2024/25 season, before joining Oxford United on loan in January and featuring on 21 occasions.
