Andrey Santos produced another high-quality performance in blue against Tottenham on Tuesday night and in the process joined Moises Caicedo in securing a Chelsea passing record.
It was a special night for Andrey as he marked his maiden outing against our rivals Spurs with his first Premier League goal.
It was an all-action display from the Brazilian, as he worked tirelessly off the ball, was faultless in possession and offered an attacking threat too.
The 22-year-old won a game-high five tackles and came out on top in six of the eight duels he contested, while on the ball, he completed all 38 of his passes.
In doing so, he became just the second Chelsea midfielder to complete 100 per cent of his passes - for players who have completed at least 30 passes and played the full 90 minutes - since Opta started recording the stat during the 2003/04 season.
The other midfielder to do so was Moises Caicedo, when he made 44 passes against Ipswich Town in April 2025, and Pedro Neto is the only other non-defender to do so, which also came in April last year, completing 32 passes in our 1-0 win over Spurs.
Six defenders have also done so over the last 23 seasons, with those playing at the back often able to make 'safer' passes. They are Trevoh Chalobah (86 vs Newcastle in March 2026), Andreas Christensen (77 vs Man United in 2021 plus 48 vs Southampton and 45 vs Swansea in 2017), Antonio Rudiger (91 vs Wolves in 2019), Gary Cahill (38 vs Arsenal in 2015), Ashley Cole (48 vs Derby in 2008) and John Terry (54 vs Liverpool in 2007 plus 47 vs Man City and 58 vs Sunderland in 2006).
