Chelsea Foundation organised another heartwarming community day at Cobham recently, creating an unforgettable experience for some special guests.
Among those invited into the training ground were Alfie Draper, Lucas Freeman, Jayden Gray and Harry Staples, all enjoying the unique opportunity.
The Community Day provided access for the guests to go behind the scenes at Cobham, beginning their special day with a Q&A session led by Chelsea TV's Lee Parker, alongside Chelsea legend Carlo Cudicini.
The guests were then able to witness the players in action on the training pitch, before meeting the squad after the session for the players to sign memorabilia and join the guests for photos.
Alfie Draper, who recently appeared on Michael McIntyre's Big Show, said, ‘It's been such an amazing experience. What Chelsea FC and Chelsea Foundation have done for me is incredible. Meeting Mauricio Pochettino was a dream come true, and interacting with all the players was delightful.’
Lucas Freeman, who travelled from Grimsby, found the journey well worth it, describing it as ‘a great day’. Jayden Gray had a fantastic time chatting with Pochettino, described the experience as ‘truly unbelievable’.
Meanwhile, Harry Staples cherished meeting all the players and getting their signatures, with a special shout-out to Conor Gallagher as his favourite.
