Ahead of kick-off at Friday’s big match at Stamford Bridge when Chelsea Women host Manchester City Women, there will be a celebration of England’s triumph at Euro 2025 when the trophy won there is shown off to the crowd.
With six Chelsea players in Sarina Wiegman’s squad and four from City, the two clubs going head to head in the first game of this season played a big part in the Lionesses retaining their European title, with Spain beaten in the final a month ago.
Now those players will be together again to parade the silverware in front of fans at Stamford Bridge before splitting off into their club sides for a mouthwatering WSL encounter.
