Pedro Neto's emphatic finish in our comprehensive victory over West Ham United has been named Chelsea’s Goal of the Month for August!

It was a stellar performance by the Blues at the London Stadium as we fired five past the Hammers – and Pedro's strike was one of two shortlisted from the game.

After Joao Pedro received the ball inside the Irons box, and with the Brazilian full of confidence having netted minutes earlier to make it 1-1, he guided a lovely cross to the back post that was met sweetly by the Portugal international's left boot.

The power of the strike was too much for West Ham goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, and the Blues had a lead that they only built upon during the remainder of the contest in East London.

August's Goal of the Month vote, which took place exclusively on the Chelsea Official App, was an extremely tight contest.

Neto claimed the top prize with 32 per cent of the vote, while Joao Pedro's header against Fulham finished a close second with 28 per cent. Enzo Fernandez's goal against the Hammers earned the final podium position with 17 per cent.

Congratulations, Pedro!
