Badiashile knows that the squad will have to remain ‘professional’ if they are to secure a positive result at Stamford Bridge, as we look to extend our run in the Conference League to three wins in three.

‘It’s a great opportunity because we want to win this competition,’ Benoit opened. ‘We know how important the game is tomorrow. We will try to win.

‘I didn’t really know Noah, but we have worked on them with the gaffer. You have to stay professional every game because you don’t know what the match can be. We have to be 100 per cent focused on the game and try to win it as always.’

The French centre-half has also relished the competition within the squad with multiple players vying for the same positions, and Badiashile believes that it will only increase the level at the club.

He continued: ‘When you are a footballer you want to play every game but at a club like Chelsea there are a lot of good players and when you get a chance you have to take it.

‘I know how hard you have to work to play at the club. We have a lot of good players. The only thing I can do is work hard and try to convince the gaffer to play me.

‘When you play for Chelsea you have to win every game, whether it's the Conference League or something else – we have to win as always.’

Benoit also reserved a special mention for Chelsea duo Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix with the 23-year-old praising the pair as players and people.

‘Misha is a really good player’ he added. ‘He's fast and sometimes he’s hard to catch! We all know how he can be, he’s a good person as well. We will try to help him to give his best.

‘Joao is a top player. He is a smart player as well and a good person like Misha. And like Misha, we will try to help him to do his best.'
