The 2025 Ballon d'Or ceremony took place in Paris this evening, and the achievements and performances of several Chelsea players were recognised in the voting.
Four members of last season's Treble-winning Chelsea side, Hannah Hampton, Lucy Bronze, Sandy Baltimore and Johanna Rytting Kaneyrd, were shortlisted for the Women's Ballon d'Or.
While none of that quartet came away with the top prize, Hampton received the Women's Yashin Trophy – awarded to the standout goalkeeper in the world game – after her excellent performances for the Blues and having played a key role in England's triumph at the 2025 European Championship.
The Blues stopper also placed tenth in the overall voting.
Bronze's impressive first campaign as a Blue, coupled with winning Euro 2025 with the Lionesses, saw her finish ninth in the voting for the women's honour.
Baltimore, who struck twice in our FA Cup final victory over Manchester United and was a key figure in last season's Treble-winning success, was 15th. Rytting Kaneyrd came away in 23rd.
After guiding Chelsea to three trophies in her first season in charge, Bompastor's work was recognised with a nomination for Women's Team Coach of the Year.
Wieke Kaptein's performances during her maiden season in the Chelsea first team saw her finish third in the voting for the Women's Kopa Trophy, which is presented to the standout Under-21 player.
For the second successive year, Cole Palmer was included in the final shortlist for the Men's award. The England international scored 18 times, including a brace in the Club World Cup final, and assisted a further 14 goals during his second campaign at Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old finished eighth in the voting, a significant improvement on the 25th place he achieved in the 2024 Ballon d'Or.
Summer arrival Estevao Willian was nominated for the Men's Kopa Trophy, the award presented to the best Under-21 player. The Brazilian finished fourth in the voting.
Enzo Maresca, meanwhile, was nominated for the Men's Team Coach of the Year.
