The Blues continue our summer tour of Australia and New Zealand in Sydney, when we take on an A-League All-Stars side at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday 12 August. That game kicks off at 10.45am UK time and will be shown live for free on the Chelsea Official App and website.

Chelsea go into that fixture off the back of an emphatic 7-0 victory over Auckland, as we began our tour in style. Beever-Jones found the net three times in the first 25 minutes, new signing Giulia Dragoni marked her debut with a first Blues goal, while Sandy Baltimore, Maika Hamano and Mayra Ramirez were also on target.

‘It was really good to score the hat-trick in Auckland,’ said Beever-Jones. ‘We kickstarted our pre-season in the best possible way and getting on the scoresheet was also great.

‘Everyone played well and I was pleased for Giulia that she made her first Chelsea appearance and scored a goal. It was really lovely to see and the game was really fun.

‘Getting into that rhythm of scoring goals is so important. It builds confidence, which is great. In pre-season you can try new things and not put too much pressure on yourself, which is always nice.’

That flying start means the plan for the next match against the A-League All-Stars is clear for Beever-Jones and her fellow Blues. More of the same in Australia!

‘I think it will be a really tough game against the A-League All-Stars in Sydney. I think they'll come out wanting to prove a point, but we’ll be ready for that battle.

‘We're the first WSL team to be over here and it’s a perfect way to kickstart our campaign this season.’

There will be no shortage of motivation for the Chelsea players as they look to make it two wins out of two games on pre-season, either, thanks to the incredible support the Blues have received throughout our time in New Zealand and Australia.

‘It’ll be a great game and hopefully we can pack the stadium out as much as possible and put on a good show for the fans coming to watch.

‘It's really nice, having come this far across the world, to be able to play in front of them and then spend some time with them post-game as well.

‘We enjoyed that in Auckland last week. It’s especially nice to connect with these fans because it’s not often we can come this far.

‘Having fans out here is so important and it’s great to see Chelsea shirts out here. I think it shows the growth of the women's game that as a club we can reach the other side of the world.’
