Chelsea goalkeeper Hannah Hampton and defender Lucy Bronze have been selected in The Best FIFA Women’s 11 2025.
The inclusion of the duo recognises their influential contributions to Chelsea's Treble-winning success during the 2024/25 campaign – and with England at this summer's UEFA European Women's Championship.
Hampton, who has also been named The FIFA Best Women’s Goalkeeper 2025, was a constant and consistent figure under Sonia Bompastor and helped us retain the Women's Super League title without suffering a defeat, and claim the Women's League Cup and Women's FA Cup.
Bronze arrived at Chelsea from Barcelona in July 2024, bringing further trophy-winning experience to our squad. She featured regularly in our triumphant WSL campaign and started both our League Cup and FA Cup final victories, which were recorded against Manchester City and Manchester United respectively.
The performances of both Hampton and Bronze saw them included in the England squad for the UEFA European Women's Championship, and both were regulars as Sarina Wiegman's side advanced through their group and into the knockout stages.
In the quarter-finals against Sweden, Bronze made a telling contribution, scoring to help England overturn a two-goal deficit and force extra time and then a penalty shootout, which the Blues defender scored in as the Lionesses progressed.
After overcoming Italy in the last four, England faced Spain in the final to retain their crown as European champions. Both Hampton and Bronze started and the game once again went to penalties. Hampton produced heroics in the shootout, saving two spot-kicks to ensure the Lionesses came away victorious.
Congratulations on your selections, Hannah and Lucy
