Two Blues have been nominated for the Women's Super League Player of the Month awards for their outstanding performances in October.
We won all three of our league matches in October, first beating West Ham United 3-0 away from home, before returning to Stamford Bridge after the international break to deliver a stunning 6-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
Our final match of the month saw us come from behind to seal a 3-1 win against Crystal Palace at the 360 Engage Stadium in Sutton.
Ellie Carpenter played every minute of those three matches, getting the crowd off their seats at the Bridge with an emphatic brace against Spurs. The wing-back put in standout performances across the month, working diligently in defence while also getting forward at every opportunity to contribute to the attack.
Meanwhile, Chelsea striker Melvine Malard also had a superb month, netting three times in those three WSL games in October. Her stunning goal from range against West Ham contributed to our 3-0 win, while her second-half brace against Palace helped turn the game around after the home side had taken the lead.
Voting for Player of the Month is now open and will close at 11am on Monday 9 November. The winner will be announced on Thursday 12 November.
